Mike McGinnis began his personal training journey in 2009 as an intern at Velocity Sports Performance. He coached athletes on running mechanics and weight lifting fundamentals, before obtaining his personal training certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in 2010. From there, Mike was able to apply his strengths as a trainer at various facilities, including the YMCA, Exos, and Nine Innovations.
Mike earned a B.S. in History with a Minor in Nutrition from the University of Houston in 2018, and began coaching football at Saint John XXIII College Preparatory soon after.
In his spare time, Mike enjoys gardening, studying history, playing the guitar, woodworking, and playing golf, football, and hockey.
